This service provides an integrated expert opinion that combines a Specialty Occupation Position Evaluation with an Academic & Work Experience Evaluation of the beneficiary.
 
The Specialty Occupation Position Evaluation analyzes the position based on its detailed job duties, level of responsibility, complexity, specialized nature, and relevant occupational classification. The expert evaluates the position in light of industry standards and authoritative occupational resources, such as the Occupational Outlook Handbook (OOH) and O*NET, and identifies the academic field and degree level ordinarily associated with the specialized nature of the position.
 
The Academic & Work Experience Evaluation then determines the beneficiary’s U.S. degree equivalency based on their education, professional work experience, and relevant training. The evaluation applies the USCIS “three-for-one” rule, under which three years of qualifying, progressive work experience may be considered equivalent to one year of undergraduate education.
 
This integrated opinion therefore connects the nature and complexity of the position with the beneficiary’s established degree equivalency.
